Group lessons for the absolute beginner. We'll get you playing in no time!

Tuning

Open Chords

Strumming

Using open chords in songs like:

Santana's "Evil Ways", The Zombies "She's Not There", Buffalo Springfield's "Something Happening Here" and more

CAGED system

Barre Chords

Beginner Guitar Level II

6-Week Guitar Course - Limited to 3 Students
2 students currently registered, 1 slot still available

Nov. 4, 11, 18 & Dec. 2, 9, 16 (7:00 - 8:00 pm)

Group lessons for the student who has completed Level 1 or is proficient in Level 1 criteria.

This course will cover:

Brief review of Level I

Recognizing patterns in music

Identifying dominant, sub dominant

12 bar blues

Minor pentatonic

Fingerpicking

Staff vs TAB

Major scale

 

Both courses will be taught by John Putnam. John has been performing for over 30 years. During his career John has been a studio arranger & guitarist, teacher as well as soundtrack engineer for tv, radio & film. John has opened for such luminaries as Roy Buchanan, Bonnie Raitt, George Benson, John Lee Hooker, Duke Robilliard, John Mayall, Johnny Copeland, James Montgomery, James Cotton & Eddy Clearwater
