Becoming a member at MUSIC MAKERS NY gives you access to some fantastic music opportunities. Whether you're looking to come to our Jam Sessions, participate in some of our workshops, or attend some of our other group courses, membership opens the door...
At MMNY we love beginners. We have workshops that will put you on the fast track to learning a new instrument in a band setting. Our CLASSIC ROCK 101 and BLUES IMMERSION workshops will teach you what it's like to be in a band.
If you are looking to improve on your instrument, or for something a little more serious, why not try one of our other WORKSHOPS? Joining our workshops is like joining a band. Work with a knowlegable and qualified coordinator who will provide charts and valuable advice for improving. Meet with the group for multiple rehearsals to really polish the material. Some workshops even end with a performance at some really amazing venues.
JAM SESSIONS will give you the opportunity to play in a group setting. We have an OPEN JAM on Monday afternoons, and two Saturday's a month we have RESERVED JAMS where you can reserve your spot by instrument.
Becoming a member is easy! Just go to our MUSIC PROFILE page and click on one of the three options.
If you're a new to Music Makers NY or you're an expired member looking to renew your membership, choose the first option: Music Makers Membership Profile - $20.00 + tax Then fill out the MUSIC PROFILE: tell us a little about your musical tastes, what instruments you play, your influences, musical goals and experience. You'll also have an opportunity to include a link to an audio or video clip so we can get a sense of where you are at musically. If you don't have a music clip, we'll set up a low-stress assessment. After filling out the member profile you'll have an opportunity to pay for your membership securely online ($21.78).
The second option is for those who want to take advantage of our Guitar & Bass Club - $200.00 + tax. Membership in this club means that when you come to Music Makers NY for a Jam, Workshop, or Rehearsal, you get free access to one of our many excellent guitars or basses. No need to lug that guitar or bass with you! Use one of ours. The Guitar & Bass Club and Membership are not mutually exclussive. You can chose either one or both.
The third option: I'm already a member, here's my profile: is for those customers who either want to update their MUSIC PROFILE or, for those who want to fill out the music profile and pay for their membership over the phone or in person.
