The Band Experience / Workshop Policies

We ask all workshop participants to please make every effort to attend all rehearsals. If you're unable to attend any rehearsals, you are required to notify Music Makers NY via email musicmakersnewyork@gmail.com at least 48 hours in advance. When registering, should you have a conflict with a rehearsal date, please make Music Makers aware of the conflict. Not attending more than 2 rehearsals within an 6 or 8-week performance program can greatly affect the band as a whole.

  • Cancellation Policy: Once you are registered for your workshop and you authorize your payment to Bob Elliott's Music Makers, your slot is guaranteed and reserved exclusively for you, therefore, all fees are non-refundable.
  • Instrumentalists are guaranteed a slot for their particular instrument, not a vocal slot as well.
  • Performance Workshops: We encourage everyone to take an active role in promoting their performance.
  • MEDIA RELEASE: By signing up for a workshop and paying the registration fee to Music Makers, I hereby authorize Music Makers use of my name, words, and images for publicity only in connection with any Music Makers events. I hereby represent I have legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
  • Submitting the Registration Form & authorizing payment to Music Makers NY means you agree to all of the above terms & conditions.

CALL 212-967-6124 or EMAIL musicmakersnewyork@gmail.com with any questions about our Band Experience Workshops or any of the other programs we offer.

Rehearsal Room Policies

Music Makers' goal is to provide the best experience for all customers. We appreciate your cooperation regarding all of our policies.

  • CANCELLATION POLICY: ONE DAY FOR EVERY HOUR BOOKED. We require one day's notice for every hour booked to cancel your rehearsal without being charged in full. You can cancel your booking by calling 212-967-6124.  Sorry, we cannot accept voicemail, or email cancellations (or email rescheduling.)  You must speak with a staff representative. If a session is booked within the cancellation period you will not be able to cancel or reschedule. When you cancel a booking you will receive an email confirmation of the canceled booking. If you DO NOT receive this email your session has not been canceled.
  • All reservations are confirmed by email.  Please review the reservation info and call (212) 967-6124 within 60 minutes if there are any discrepancies.
  • All Music Makers' phone calls are recorded for verification and training purposes.
  • DEPOSIT POLICY:  $50.00 Credit Card Deposit (Which can be left as a floating deposit for future sessions or it can be applied to the cost of your booking if you have no other bookings on the schedule). WE DO NOT ACCEPT CASH DEPOSITS WITHOUT A CREDIT CARD ON FILE. If you want to book a session using cash you must pay in full (PIF) in person.
  • DEPOSITS ARE ONLY REFUNDABLE BY APPLYING THE DEPOSIT TOWARDS THE COST OF YOUR BOOKING.  It is the customer's responsibility to inform our staff at the point of payment that you would like to apply the deposit on file.   Otherwise, your deposit will be kept as a floating deposit for a future session automatically.  We appreciate your cooperation on this matter.
  • LATE ROOM DEPARTURE FEES:  It is the customer's responsibility to leave their session in a timely manner.  For example, if you have booked a 6:00 to 8:00 rehearsal, you are required to leave the room no later than 8:00 pm.  If you leaving the room late requires Music Makers to compensate the client booked after your rehearsal, your credit card will be charged all fees associated with late departure.  Please be courteous to your fellow musicians.  Thank you.
  • PAYMENT AT END OF SESSION:  It is the customer's responsibility to assure all fees due for rehearsal are paid before leaving the premises. Departure without payment for the balance owed will mean the booking party's credit card will be charged.
  • OVERCROWDED ROOMS: Each room accommodates a maximum number of people.  This information is available on our website with each room description. For safety purposes and building fire codes, this policy will be enforced.  Your rehearsal may be delayed and/or canceled if more than the maximum number of people arrives for rehearsal.
  • MOVING EQUIPMENT: All studios are pre-set for all sessions. If clients move any gear (including drum hardware and cymbals) it must be returned to its original position or charges may be incurred.
  • REMOVING PROPERTY: Unauthorized removal of any property from the premises will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.  Our facility is under 24-hour video surveillance.
  • ADDITIONAL CHARGES MAY APPLY:
    - Tampering or changing sound system settings
    - Excessive trash left in the rooms
    - Gear moved around
    - Repairs or replacement of equipment damaged due to client negligence
  • NO SMOKING OR VAPING ANYWHERE IN THE BUILDING AS PER THE NEW YORK FIRE DEPARTMENT.
  • MODERATE ALCOHOL DRINKING IS ALLOWED. Please drink responsibly. We DO NOT tolerate sloppy drunks.
  • SNOWSTORM AND FLASH FLOODING CANCELATION POLICY: If Mass Transit is suspended, customers can reschedule their booking, but not cancel. Once your booking is rescheduled, no further changes can occur.
