THIS IS A PERFORMANCE WORKSHOP! Join our thrilling ‘Band 101’ course, where musical dreams come alive! Get ready to rock as you learn to harmonize, jam, and captivate audiences. Led by seasoned musicians, this exhilarating journey will fine-tune your skills in instrumentation, vocals, and stage presence. From songwriting workshops to electrifying rehearsals, culminating in an epic live performance, seize the spotlight and unleash your inner rockstar in this unforgettable musical adventure. At the end of this workshop, there will be a performance at the iconic Bitter End on Friday, February 23rd!
Vocalists: Feel the songs & work on getting the right vocal accompaniment without having to rush through each song.
Guitar Players: Learn how to use technique and effects to complement or lead the band's sound.
Bass Players: Learn how to lay the rhythmic and harmonic foundation for the band.
Drummers: learn to lay the rhythmic foundation alongside the bassist, driving the band forward with percussion.
Keyboard players: Learn basic rhythmic and harmonic patterns to accompany pop songs and improvise. Enrich the band's sound with an assortment of synthesized sounds.
Let's open that music door together. You'll have fun making music in a non-judgmental, welcoming environment. A wide variety of rock and blues tunes are covered. Your Musical Director will select several songs for the first rehearsal. The band will play the songs to determine where everyone is at musically.
